Marilyn Fletcher

1930 ~ 2007

Marilyn Fletcher, 77, passed away September 12, 2007 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born March 16, 1930 in Alberta, Canada to Ralph Owen and Grace Clifford Christensen. She married Harry Fletcher in the Cardston, Alberta LDS Temple April 27, 1957.

She was raised on a farm in the New Dayton area of Alberta, Canada, and was a graduate of Olds Agricultural College in Alberta. She served an LDS mission in England from 1953-54. Marilyn was active in the LDS Church, having served in many callings.

She is survived by her husband, Harry; daughter, DeeAnne C. (David) Gilgen; sons, Kevin M. (Ann) Fletcher, and Thomas S. Fletcher; grandchildren, Christopher (Neiko), Daniel and Sarah Gilgen; Matthew Fletcher; great-granddaughter, Boston Gilgen; brother, Clifford Christensen; and a sister, Evelyn Rasmussen. Preceded in death by a grandson, Travis Gilgen; and a sister, Eileen Hirschi.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2007, 2 p.m. at the Midvale 7th Ward, 8350 South Jackson St. (260 West). Friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. at Goff Mortuary, 8090 S. State, and Wednesday 12:45-1:45 p.m. at the church. Interment, Lake Hills Memorial Park.
