I've brought this to the attention of the chief of police.

I've brought it to the attention of the City Council and mayor.

West Jordan's ordinance requires asphalt or concrete for parking areas at a residence. Period. Drive around, however, and you will find hundreds, if not thousands, of trailers, RVs and cars parked on rock or crushed gravel.

What can be done? Chief McGuire says only the City Council can make a change to the ordinance. The council has to make that change, or thousands of people in West Jordan face a ticket and thousands of dollars in new concrete and asphalt expenses.
