PROVO — The family of a 22-year-old Brigham Young University student who went missing Thursday did not intend to spend their Labor Day weekend like this.

"I expected to spend it with family, not searching for family," said Staci Cleverley, sister-in-law to Camille Cleverley.

Camille Cleverley was last seen Thursday around noon at her apartment complex, said David Cleverley, Camille's older brother. The family became suspicious when her neighbor called Staci, asking about Camille.

David said he doesn't think she just left town, because she was supposed to take a test Friday for a BYU Independent Study class.

"She's a real good student," he said of his younger sister.

The family organized a search on Sunday, and about 150 volunteers gathered to circulate missing person fliers throughout the community. They also have set up a MySpace account at www.myspace.com/helpfindcamille.

BYU administration sent out a mass e-mail to the university community, providing a description of Camille. They also requested that anyone with information on her whereabouts contact Provo police, said BYU spokeswoman Carri Jenkins.

"We wanted to alert our students in the hope that this would be helpful," she said.

The family did not coordinate a formalized search party on Monday because they are waiting for further updates from Provo police, said family friend Lyanna Lee.

"You don't want to send people on a wild-goose chase," she said. "We want to get all the facts."

Police from Provo city, BYU and Utah County have joined the search for Camille, Staci Cleverley said. They completed an intense sweep of Rock Canyon, BYU campus and the Harold B. Lee Library at BYU, where Camille worked, but they haven't found any solid leads yet, she said.

Provo Police Capt. Cliff Argyle told KSL they have followed up multiple tips that have come to "dead ends" thus far. He said Camille Cleverley has no history of running away. He also said the longer the search goes on, the more suspicious the disappearance seems, but nothing indicates foul play.

Staci said the family's emotions are "high" right now, but they remain optimistic.

"At this point, we're just trying to keep together as a family and do everything we can to bring Camille home," she said.

Camille is 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighs about 110 pounds, and has blue eyes and blond hair. David Cleverley described his sister as a good student, athletic, responsible, willing to help and upbeat.

Anyone with information about Camille's whereabouts can call Provo detective Sgt. Mark Crosby at 801-852-7241 or e-mail helpfindcamille@gmail.com.
