Elecsys Corp., based in Kansas, said Tuesday it has agreed to acquire the assets and assume certain liabilities of Radix International Corp. and its subsidiary of Salt Lake City.

The agreement includes product lines and intellectual property. Financial terms were not disclosed, although a performance-related consideration will be paid over the next five years. The acquisition is expected to close by Sept. 14.

Radix develops, designs and markets handheld computers, peripherals and portable printers. Its product and service revenues totaled nearly $10.5 million for the fiscal year ended April 30. Subsidiary DCI Inc. provides electronic manufacturing services, currently manufacturing most of Radix's handheld computers and related equipment.
