Delta Air Lines Inc. President Edward Bastian said the company will start searching next week for a new chief financial officer.

Bastian, Delta's finance chief since July 2005, was named president on Aug. 21 when the Atlanta-based airline chose former Northwest Airlines Inc. Chief Executive Officer Richard Anderson as its new CEO. Bastian, in an interview, said Delta will consider both internal and external candidates.
