Seen in a photo from 1897, the building on the northeast corner of South Temple and Main streets in Salt Lake City was the second (and seventh) home of the Deseret News. The newspaper shared the building with a church store and post office from 1851 to 1854. Five relocations later, the Deseret News returned in 1862 and stayed until 1903. Today, the former Hotel Utah and current Joseph Smith Memorial Building, seen below in December 2007, stands in same spot.
