LOS ANGELES — The Los Angeles D-Fenders snapped a four-game losing streak by handing the Utah Flash its worst defeat of the season, 95-71, in NBA Development League action Sunday at the Staples Center.
Prior to Sunday, Utah's worst loss was by 17 points (109-92) on Nov. 25 against the D-Fenders, also at the Staples Center.
The Flash, who trailed by more than 30 points in the second half, also recorded a season low for field goals made by converting a miserable 25-for-81 (30 percent). The 71 points scored by Utah is also a season low.
Utah's starting five combined to score just 34 points, making just 11-of-48 field goal attempts.
Los Angeles improved to 16-8 with its fourth win over the Flash this season. Utah dipped to 13-12 in the first of a six-game road swing covering three states in 10 days. The Flash and D-Fenders meet again Tuesday at the Staples Center.
