A California state court has dismissed a lawsuit brought against USANA Health Sciences Inc. last year by pair of San Diego distributors.
The plaintiffs agreed to ask the court to dismiss the case after they reviewed evidence and determined they no longer wanted to maintain a class-action lawsuit.
The lawsuit named USANA and executives, directors and advisory board members. The complaint contended that the defendants failed to disclose information about the company, its business relationships and prospects. The plaintiffs also contended that USANA's multilevel-marketing model operated as a pyramid scheme.
The lawsuit had sought an undetermined amount in damages.
USANA develops and manufactures nutritional, personal care, and weight management products.
