The Granite Stake Tabernacle, 2005 S. 900 East, is home to the 108-year-old Granite Stake. According to a February 2000 LDS Church News article celebrating the stake's centennial, the family home evening and seminary programs of the church were pioneered by this stake. This building was completed in 1930 and dedicated by President Heber J. Grant in 1938. The former church president used to practice his singing there. The tabernacle was rededicated in October 1989 after a renovation. In 1983, flood waters surrounded the building, forcing church members to hold meetings elsewhere.
