Elsie Jane Kay Bean

Our beloved wife and mother passed away peacefully at home Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, surrounded by family following an extendedillness.
Born 20 July 1925 in Annabella, Utah, to Samuel Arthur Kay and Medora Hooper Kay. Married
Richard M Bean 13 Apr 1947, later solemnized in Manti Temple.
Survived by husband of 60 years, Richard, seven children, Rex (Kae) Bean, Virginia (Richard) Power, James (Cathy) Bean, Valerie (Tracy) Johnson, Julie Burgess, David
(Cherie) Bean, and Jeffery (Denise) Bean, 33 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and her sister,
Lorraine Larsen.
Preceded in death by her parents, a brother, F Arthur Kay, sisters Eileen Kay, Garda Reese, and Arthaleen Gibson, and grandsons Adam Burgess and Ryan Johnson. She is now re-united with them.
Jane was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many callings including ward historian and teacher. She served a mission to the Ohio Columbus mission, 1988 - 1989 in Galion, Ohio with her husband, and they worked together as temple workers in the Manti Temple, while health permitted.
Jane's life was an example to all who knew her of selfless service and care for others. She put others' needs ahead of her own throughout her life, and demonstrated her concern for her family and friends to the final moments of her life.
Funeral services will be held at Nephi Stake Center, 355 N. 100 W., Nephi, Utah at 11 a.m. on Fri., February 29, 2008. Viewing at Anderson Funeral Home, 94 W. 300 N. in Nephi on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 6-8 p.m. and at the church one hour prior to services. Interment in the Richfield Utah Cemetery at 3 p.m.
