Karl Gary Bunnell

1939 ~ 2008

Karl Gary Bunnell passed away surrounded by his family on January 30, 2008.

He was born on August 13, 1939 in American Fork, Utah to Karl Grover and Helen Webster Bunnell. Gary attended Orem High School, Weber State University, and Brigham Young University. He eloped with Connie Gollinger on April 3, 1964, and has truly lived happily ever after. Gary was the Command Sergeant Major of the 211th Aviation Group, Utah National Guard. Retired after 42 years of meritorious service. He was a proud member of the American Legion post #140 of Riverton, Utah. He was a community advocate, coach, mentor and an avid outdoorsman.

Gary is survived by his wife, Connie of 44 years, his children; Carma (Denim) Simkins, Cori Bunnell, Christy (Doug) Petersen, Gig (Heidi) Bunnell, grandchildren; Chelsey (Porter) Terrell, Jace, Dillan, Gavin, Taylor, Cassie, Ellie, Hayden, and Gabbi. Sisters; Renae (Blaine) Frazier, Orem, Utah, Kay (Richard) Towne, Huntington Beach, California. Brothers; Lee (Carroll) Bunnell, Washington, Utah, Dan (Verla) Bunnell, Redman, Washington.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 5th at 11:00 a.m. at the Riverton First Ward, 12950 So. 1300 W. Friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. and Tuesday one hour prior at the church. Interment with military honors will occur at the Riverton City Cemetery.
