Audrey Anderson Clayton

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend died peacefully, on January 30, 2008 of complications from Alzheimer's disease. Audrey was born March 25, 1925 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Thomas Malcolm and Lydia Berneice Anderson. She married Russell Edward Clayton in 1946 in the Salt Lake Temple; later divorced. Audrey was a homemaker for many years as she raised four children in Los Angeles and Covina, California. She worked for the General Telephone Company for over 20 years where she made many life-long friends. She returned to live in Salt Lake City in 1999. She loved reading, singing, dancing and bowling in league with her friends for many years. Audrey was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

She is survived by her three daughters, Patricia Sodders, Peggy (Andy) Forsyth, Phyllis Huaute, and one son, James (Donna) Clayton, 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grand

children, her sister Dorothy Wiscombe and brother Malcolm (Joyce) Anderson. She was preceded in death by both parents.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Drive, Salt Lake City, Utah. Friends and family may attend a viewing at the mortuary at Wasatch Lawn before the service from 12:00 -1:00 p.m.
