Juanita Edith Spanton Woodard

1915 ~ 2008

Juanita Edith Spanton Woodard passed away February 19, 2008 in San Jose, California, where she lived with her daughter, Dee, for the last five years. Juanita was born December 14, 1915 to Albert William and Mary Francis Spanton in Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Jedediah Swift Woodard in the Salt Lake Temple.

This union was blessed with five children. She is survived by daughters Dee Carlsen, Arlene Wood, Barbara (Babs) Taylor, daughter-in-law Kathy Woodard and son Jim (Kristy) Woodard, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jed and son Gordon. Juanita enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, and reading. She and Jed spent many hours building and remodeling several family homes.

Graveside services will be held 12:00 Noon, Saturday, March 1, 2008 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary located at 3401 S. Highland Drive. A visitation will be held prior to services at 10:30 a.m.
