Mindy Long Jewkes
"Rell"
Our sweet Mindy slipped away in her sleep, March 16, 2008, into the arms of her father. He lovingly called her his "Minderella".
She was born July 1, 1970 to Adrian Keith and Elisabeth Thompson Long. Mindy was bright and quick to learn. She started speaking in sentences, memorized songs instantly, and could read before starting school. She married Matthew G. Jewkes in the Salt Lake Temple and they had a beautiful baby boy,
Mason. They later divorced but remained good friends. Mason was her pride and joy. She called him her "little bug". Mindy was an RN and worked for 15 years at PCMC and Nighttime Pediatrics. She spent six years working at Narconon in Oklahoma. She currently was working at Medical Review in Salt Lake City. We thank her many friends for their support.
Mindy we love you! We were robbed! We'll miss your funny and witty sense of humor and sweet and caring personality.
She is survived by her precious son, Mason (11); mother; sisters Jennifer (Gary) Barnson, Emery, Kelly Lund; brothers Tyler (Ann) and Michael; four nieces, five nephews; and by her special friend Cory Anderson and his son Jory. She was preceded in death by her father, and grandfathers, Adrian Keith Long, Sr. and William H. Thompson.
Services will be Friday, March 21, 2008 at noon, Cottonwood 13th Ward, 1830 E. 6400 S. Friends may call Thurs. 6-8 p.m. at Wasatch Lawn, 3401 S. Highland Dr and on Fri. 11-11:45 at the ward.
