Samuel McCluskey

2006 ~ 2008

Our precious little Sammy (19 months old) returned home to our Heavenly Father on March 26, 2008, after a hard-fought battle with a sudden illness.

Samuel Roy McCluskey was born in Provo, Utah, on July 30, 2006, to Roy V. and Laura Swensen McCluskey. He had such a sweet

spirit, and we will miss him immensely. He touched many lives, especially in his last two months while he was hospitalized, and we know that he is moving forward with his eternal

mission and that he will watch over us until we meet again.

Samuel was all boy; he loved playing with cars and trucks, throwing things, wrestling, and getting piggy-back rides. He adored his sisters, Elisabeth (age 7) and Rebekah (age 3), and loved to play with them and to be like them. He had recently decided he was a big kid and expected to be treated that way. He "crawled" like a monkey, and he was just getting brave and ready to walk. Samuel was a mommy's boy, and always celebrated when his daddy came home. He was also Grandpa Swensen's buddy. He enjoyed french fries and ice cream, playing in the bathtub, and singing "Eentsy Weentsy Spider". He loved to dance whenever he heard music. He liked to look at family pictures and books. He loved to have family prayer. We will miss his big brown eyes, beautiful smile, and dimples. He taught us much, and we are honored to be his parents.

Samuel is survived by his parents; and sisters of Orem; grandparents, Roy & Jaynann McCluskey and Wayne & Ginger Swensen (all of Orem); great grandmothers Gwenyth McCluskey (Renton, WA), Velma Swensen (Provo, UT), and Virginia Jolley (Orem, UT); special

uncles, aunts, and cousins Erick McCluskey, Jeremy McCluskey, Brent & DeAnn McCluskey (Keala, Sloan, Ethan, Kala), Sharon McCluskey,

We wish to thank the incredible staff at Primary Children's Medical Center for the tender loving care they offered Samuel during his illness and the compassion they showed to us. The outpouring of love and support we have received from family and friends has been tremendous.
