Phebe Hughes Warner Timpson

"Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." Our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Phebe Hughes Warner Timpson quietly returned home to her Heavenly Father Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Phebe was born April 24, 1924 to H. Eugene and Phebe Brown Hughes in Spanish Fork, Utah.

She married Jack Jex Warner on August 24, 1942 for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised eight children: Sharen, Dianne, Judy, Rick, Max, Barbara, Byron, and Dick. They were married for 29 years when he passed away from complications of cancer in 1971. Two years later, she found another sweetheart to love.

She married Robert George Timpson on November 23, 1973 for time in the Provo, Utah Temple. With this marriage, she added three more children into her happy home: David, Karl and Mary.

She was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed refurbishing and collecting antique dolls. She relished her time as a Temple worker in the Salt Lake City Temple. She also enjoyed crocheting, needlework, and painting. She was often surrounded by her children, family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Robert; children, Sharen (Jim) Whitley, Dianne (Dr. Steven) W. Osguthorpe, Judy Warner, Rick (Janine) Warner, Max (Nancy) Warner, Barbara (Jerry) Costello, Byron (Janice) Warner, Dick (Vicky) Warner, David (Shaina) Timpson, Tammy Cardon, Karl (Pam) Timpson, Mary (Morris) Smith; 54 grandchildren and 64 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by daughter-in-law, Jill Timpson, granddaughter, Devin Brandon and grandsons, Chris Costello and Michael Warner.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 12, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olympus 5th Ward 3610 East 3510 South SLC. A viewing will take place Friday, April 11 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, and again at the church Saturday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m. prior to funeral services. Phebe's final resting place will be beside her husband, Jack Jex Warner, in the Spanish Fork City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. following the funeral services.
