Basketball folks in Utah County have seen a lot of Brad Crowther in recent years. The longtime Timpanogos assistant is one of those guys who loves to hang around gyms and watch basketball games, regardless of which team is playing. He always seems to show up at the best game in town.
Now, Crowther has even more reason to step up his gym-rat devotion. Timpanogos administrators recently appointed Crowther to be the Timberwolves new head basketball coach. He replaces Clay Anderson, who stepped down following last season after four years at the helm.
"We interviewed several excellent candidates for the position and Brad's knowledge, passion for the game and dedication really stood out," Timpanogos vice-principal Deb Zirbes said. "More importantly, he loves the boys, has a great rapport with them and is a great motivator. We expect the program to move to the next level and anticipate Coach Crowther being our head basketball coach for many years to come."
Crowther plans to meet with returning players and their parents sometime in the next couple of weeks.
