Ronald Lee Kroll
1932 ~ 2008
Ronald Lee Kroll, devoted son, husband, and father, passed away on April 17, 2008 due to complications from kidney disease.
He was born on June 1, 1932 to Samuel and Florence Kroll in New York City. Eager to serve his country, he enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951. He met Myrtis Atwood, the love of his life, in July 1952 and married her two months later. Their union was blessed with one child, Sharilyn Marie (Lewis) Hunsaker. They were sealed together as an eternal family in the Salt Lake Temple June 6, 1973.
Ron courageously served his country in the Air Force for 21 years, retiring in 1972. He then embarked on a successful career as a car salesman, earning numerous awards for his achievements. He retired from Hinkley Dodge in December, 2006.
He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving as a dedicated home teacher and High Priest Group instructor. He especially loved serving as an ordinance worker in the Jordan River Temple.
He is survived by his wife and daughter, along with his sister and numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father.
Funeral services will be held on Monday April 21, 2008 at the Jordan Parkway Ward located at 3935 South 1500 West, West Valley City at 11:00 a.m. Family will receive friends on Sunday April 20, 2008 at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary located at 3401 South Highland Drive from 6 to 8 p.m. and 1 hour prior to services.
