DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — A woman pleaded guilty Wednesday to killing her two young children by setting fire to the family's suburban home.
Heather Silverman, who had initially pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity, entered her pleas Wednesday to two counts of murder and three counts of aggravated arson.
The fire killed Silverman's 4-year-old son, Mikel, and 4-month-old daughter Keylee in July 2006 in the southwestern Ohio community of West Carrollton, a suburb of Dayton.
