Blane W. Wilson has been appointed chief operating officer at Golden Eagle International Inc. Wilson has 24 years of experience managing milling and processing operations in the mining industry. He is leaving his position as corporate operations manager for another company.

Jamie Kaneko, Kenny Caldwell and Brittany Snapp have joined Snapp Conner PR. Kaneko is senior public relations associate and joined the firm from another agency, where she was a public relations account manager. Caldwell is a public relations associate. He recently graduated from Utah State University, and while at USU, he worked on public relations campaigns with another company. Snapp is a public relations associate. She has an associate degree from Utah Valley State College and is attending the University of Utah. She has experience in consumer relations and marketing strategy.

Andy Evans has been named director of product strategy at Obeo, Alan Earl has joined the company as senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Craig Lake has been named vice president of information technology. Evans will oversee product development and all of the company's marketing efforts. He founded Obeo in 1999 and was the company's chief technology officer. Prior to founding Obeo, he ran his own graphic design and Web development company. Earl will oversee the global sales and marketing initiatives for the real estate technology and marketing company. Before joining Obeo, Earl was vice president of marketing and partner with another company. He also has held positions at a pair of other companies. His education includes a degree from the University of Utah. The company's former senior vice president of sales and marketing, Jonathan Nicholas, has become an Obeo consultant. Lake is responsible for all technology-related activities within Obeo, including application development, telecommunications, networking and technical support. He previously held several information technology and development positions at other companies and is an adjunct instructor at the University of Phoenix. His education includes degrees from the University of Utah and the University of Phoenix.

• Solera Networks also announced actions for three key executives. James Brown was named the company's chief operating officer and chief financial officer. Paal Tveit was promoted to vice president of engineering. Fumiya Minagawa was named president of Solera Networks Japan. Brown joins Solera Networks' management team after recently serving on the company's board of directors. Over the past few years, he has advised several technology companies, including Solera Networks. Prior to that, he was executive vice president and general manager at another company and also was a partner at a San Francisco law firm. Tveit is a 20-year veteran of software and hardware engineering, having most recently served as director of engineering at another company and has held senior engineering positions at three others. Minagawa began his relationship with Solera Networks as a distributor more than three years ago. He has more than 20 years of experience in engineering consulting, technology sales, product development and corporate information technology management.

Donald Basile has been named chief executive officer of Fusion-io. He has more than 20 years of experience leading public and private companies in data networking, cable, telecommunications, computing and semiconductors.

Angela E. Atkin has been named a shareholder at the law firm of VanCott, Bagley, Cornwall & McCarthy. Atkin is a member of the firm's Tax, Estate & Benefit Planning group specializing in estate, probate and trust matters. Her education includes degrees from the University of Utah and Brigham Young University.

Spencer N. Hyde, Randy Mulvey and Park Perrin have been promoted at SkyWest Airlines. Hyde has been promoted to director of SkyWest Airlines' enhanced multimedia and business development group. Hyde will provide artistic and creative vision to support SkyWest's internal and external marketing and communication efforts, assist the company's operational divisions in the development and deployment of multimedia training materials for classroom and online learning and provide support and development of SkyWest Airlines and ASA Web projects. He also will oversee the development, integration and support of business technologies related to the human resource function. Hyde began his SkyWest career as a graphic development coordinator in 1999. He has since held the positions of multimedia developer and most recently manager of design and multimedia development. His education includes a degree from the University of Utah and he will receive another degree from Westminster College later this year. Mulvey has been named director of Midwest Connect. He will oversee daily ground operations of the system, including 168 daily departures at 28 stations. He also will continue to oversee SkyWest ground operations throughout the airline's Chicago region. He has held several leadership positions at SkyWest, including station manager and most recently Chicago regional director. Before joining SkyWest, Mulvey worked in several capacities at another airline. Perrin is now director of Delta Connection. She will be responsible for leading SkyWest Delta Connection ground operations and also will work closely with all internal and external partners for operations at more than 95 domestic and international airport locations. Perrin came to SkyWest as a station manager in 2001 and most recently served as regional director of Delta Connection ground operations. Prior to joining SkyWest, Perrin held various management positions at another airline. Also, Justin Esplin has been named director of application development at SkyWest Inc. He replaces Duane Tanner, who retired. Esplin will oversee the development, acquisition and implementation of application software and systems for Atlantic Southeast Airlines and SkyWest Airlines. He began his SkyWest career in 2001 as a software developer and most recently held the position of senior software engineer. Esplin previously worked as manager of software development for a major technology outsourcing firm. His education includes a degree from Brigham Young University.

Michael Orr has been appointed chief marketing officer at Diatect International Corp. He has nearly 20 years of experience as a corporate executive, holding management positions with several companies. He founded MBO Inc., a strategic business consulting firm, in 1991. Most recently, he has been managing director of an investment banking and consulting firm and chief marketing officer for an alternative fuel company.

Paula J. Henry has been named senior vice president of the Rocky Mountain region for Genesee & Wyoming Inc. and president of the Utah Railway Co. She replaces James M. Davis, who retired. Henry previously was chief operating officer of another railroad company.

Thomas Morgan and Paul Ptaschne have joined Move Networks. Morgan is the company's chief strategy officer and brings more than 25 years of experience. He was founder and chief executive officer of BlackArrow Corp. and most recently was a digital media consultant. Ptaschne is Move Networks' vice president of sales for Latin America. He has more than 15 years of international business experience, managing advertising sales and operations positions for several television companies and participating in television network launches across Brazil, Argentina and Mexico.
