Edith (Eda Marie) Dearing

Edith passed away on April 4, 2008 in Sandy, Utah at the age of 80. She was born August 18, 1927 in Helper, Utah to Joseph V. and Rose Andrezzi. She married Wayne M. Dearing, April 17, 1946.

To say you knew Edith was to say you had a friend and confidant. She was known by many as Edie, Edith, or Eda, but to her family it was just Auntie, sister, mom, grandma, etc. and to her companion of many years, Sweetheart and wife. She has gone on to the most important stage of her life to finish raising her youngest son, Jeff, with her eternal companion and rejoices at seeing her mother and many of her family again in great celebration. Her last wishes included her heart-felt thanks and love to all those who she worked with and knew as friends at Jordan School District, Alta View Hospital, her ward, her neighbors, and many others who have so graciously shared their love and prayers with her over the years. They will always be in her heart and have her undying love and friendship.

Edith enjoyed camping, fishing, cooking, crocheting, traveling, playing games with family, and especially helping others. She graduated from Notre Dame High School in Price, Utah, raised five children and one husband. She retired from

Jordan School District and volunteered at Alta View Hospital for more than 10 years, including working on their Board of Directors, etc.

She is survived by her children, Gerald (Karen) Dearing, (Joseph) Pauline Dearing Sturdy, (Randy) Joelene Dearing Charlton, Tim Dearing; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five sisters-in-law; a brother-in-law; and many nieces and nephews, many of whom considered her a second mom and a good friend.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Rose Andrezzi; husband, Wayne Dearing; son, Jeffery Dearing; sister, Mary Falsone and brothers, Paul, Ernie, Fred, Johnny, Joe, Peter and Charles.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at the Old Mission Ward, 1433 East Old Mission Road (7930 South) in Sandy, Utah. There will be a viewing at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. and 10-10:30 on Wednesday, prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Redwood Memorial Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
