OREM — A 71-year-old man who collapsed inside Gold's Gym just before noon on Monday was taken to the hospital and later pronounced dead.
Police say the man had just arrived at the gym about 10 minutes earlier and began his workout, but the cause of death had not yet been determined.
"Nobody really knows exactly what he was doing right before he collapsed, but it was near the front of the gym in between the weights and the cardio area," said Orem Police Lt. Gary Giles.
The gym is located at 1259 S. 800 East in Orem, near University Mall.
