Larry Taggart

1936 ~ 2008

Lawrence Cloud Taggart passed away of natural causes on June 27th, 2008 in West Jordan, Utah. Larry was the son of Leonard Laird Taggart and Annie Mason of Bountiful, Utah. He was born on September 28th 1936 in Salt Lake City. He was married to Charlotte A. Baggett in the Salt Lake Temple on October 23rd, 1959.

Larry is survived by his wife, Charlotte, daughter, Lori Ann (Robert) Wellington of West Jordan; son, Bradley (Kimberly) and grandsons, Bradley, Brandon, Tyler and Trevor, of Ephraim, Utah; sister, Charlene Rich of Central Point, Oregon; and brother, Edward J. Davis of Sandy, Utah. Preceded in death by brother, Terry Miller

Larry was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and will be sorely missed by all of his family. Larry was an Eagle Scout and avid scouter his whole life. He served as a district chairman for the Golden Eagle District, and received the Silver Beaver award. He was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a mission to Central America, was an ordinance worker at the Jordan River Temple, and was serving as a Missionary with his wife at the LDS Employment Center in West Jordan, Utah at the time of his death. Larry worked as a civil engineer for U.D.O.T. in the highway design division for several years and finished his career with Salt Lake County Flood Control, where he was respected by all who worked with him.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 2, 12:00 noon at the West Jordan Heritage 10th Ward Chapel located at 7645 South 3200 West, West Jordan, Utah. A viewing will be held Tuesday, July 1st from 6 to 8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe South Valley, 1007 W. South Jordan Parkway (10600 So) and Wed. from 11:00-11:45 am at the church.
