The five original buildings in Brigham Young University's dormitory complex, shown in November 1964 shortly after its completion, housed 1,350 students. On June 28, 2006, the school announced that two halls in the Deseret Towers complex would be razed. Demolition on W Hall began Dec. 12, 2006, and Q Hall was razed beginning in November 2007. Demolition and cleanup on the five remaining buildings were completed this summer. The school has yet to announce what will be built on the site.
