Regarding your editorial of Jan. 19: Will you please tell me why George Washington Carver is never mentioned as a great African-American? He did more to help this country than many white people. He was humble, taught his people to fix weeds into great dinners and learned to do many things with the peanuts. He could have been rich but instead stayed at Booker T. Washington University and helped his fellow man. He is one of my heroes.
