LOGAN — Logan is looking for "kilowatt cops."

For $5 a month, residents can rent monitors that provide real-time reports on a home's electrical use and what it's costing.

Logan Light & Power officials say they hope the equipment will help residents identify the biggest power drains and find ways to conserve.

The city spent $1,450 for 10 monitors.

City crews install the monitors for those interested and residents can keep them for a month or longer.
