A Salt Lake City company is suing a now-defunct Ken Garff Automotive Group dealership in Murray for failing to pay its land lease.

The dealership, Ken Garff-Warner Nissan, closed its doors in November after sales slumped in the economic downturn.

According to a lawsuit filed in 3rd District Court this week, the dealership was never absolved from paying its monthly $19,000 lease on the lot until the contract ends in midyear 2010.

Six K LLC, the owner of the property on 5501 S. State Street, is seeking $60,000, along with legal fees and maturing interest for the past three months of rent, the lawsuit said.
