BOISE — Failed Tamarack Resort no longer exists in cyberspace.
The Idaho resort, closing Wednesday after four years of operations due to crushing debt, foreclosure lawsuits and $2.8 million in losses since October, has shuttered even its Web site.
Clicking www.tamarackidaho.com yields the message, "As of March 4, 2009, Tamarack Resort is no longer operating. We thank you sincerely for your business and support over the past years."
The receiver running Tamarack since late last year and a lending group led by Zurich-based Credit Suisse Group couldn't agree on new financing to allow the resort to keep its skiing and lodging open.
Instead, receiver Douglas Wilson has told a state court judge in documents obtained by The Associated Press it plans to use $1.7 million in new funding to mothball the place.
