REXBURG, Idaho — Elder Claudio R.M. Costa, a member of the Presidency of the Seventy of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, addressed Brigham Young University-Idaho students about the importance of making good decisions.Elder Costa said his father was the only son in his family to marry and also choose to listen to Mormon missionaries, eventually joining the LDS Church, forever influencing his family and future posterity.Elder Costa then posed a question to the congregation: "What could have happened if Nephi chose to not go into the desert because his father had a dream?" Elder Costa used this example of Nephi to explain how decisions affect all aspects of our lives. "Your decisions will open or close doors for you, and will make you happy or unhappy," Elder Costa said.Quoting church President Thomas S. Monson, Elder Costa reminded the congregation that every decision matters. "President Monson spoke to the young people and said: 'There isn't a simple decision in life. Everything is important. Every decision you make. So make your decisions with a prayerful heart.'"
