Alliant Techsystems, based in Minnesota, said Tuesday it has acquired Eagle Industries, which will become part of ATK's Armament Systems group that is based in Clearfield.

Terms were not disclosed. Alliant said it expects the acquisition to add more than $80 million to its 2010 fiscal year revenues.

Eagle Industries manufactures nylon gear and equipment for military, homeland security and law enforcement agencies. The company manufactures more than 5,000 products, including tactical assault vests, weapon transporting gear, holsters and personal gear carriers. The company has about 2,300 employees.

The Armament Systems group is involved in small- and medium-caliber military ammunition manufacturing; medium-caliber gun system design and manufacturing; integrated weapon stations, advanced propellant and energetics production; and technology development in shooting sports ammunition, accessories and reloading supplies.
