A summary of the talk given by Elder Neil L. Andersen, Quorum of the Twelve, during the Sunday morning session.
"The Lord has deeply blessed me … I have felt soberness in this calling … I am not what I must become, but I will hope for the promise that President Monson gave in priesthood meeting — that the Lord will shape the back to fit the burden … For much of my life, I've been trying to become what my wife already thought I was."
During 30 years of service to the church in many lands where the language is different, "I have seen the power of God at work."
Converts in those lands are in every sense as much pioneers as the early Saints who trekked to the Great Basin. Many strong coverts "are holding steady in their course toward eternal life."
Many non-LDS people are working for good. "We have much to learn from good people all around us." But only in the LDS Church is the restored priesthood, the Book of Mormon as a companion to the Bible, and living prophets. "Members should accept these blessings without "feelings of arrogance or superiority."
"I proclaim the Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ. All we are or will be, we owe to him. He is the resurrection and the life."
