A Salt Lake City mother was charged Wednesday with two counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor after she allegedly had encounters with one of her son's friends while he slept over at their house.
The woman, 33, is charged with the two counts, both class A misdemeanors and classified as non-intercourse crimes, for events that allegedly occurred in July 2008.
The 16-year-old boy told police he spent the night twice that month at his friend's home, near 2500 East and 3300 South, according to the charges. He said on the first night the woman kissed him and he touched her breasts over her clothing, the charges said.
On the second night, the woman touched the teenager's genitals on top of and underneath his clothing, and he touched her breasts and vaginal area over her clothing, the documents said.
The woman's son told police that on the first night his friend slept over he saw his mother and friend kissing, according to the documents.
The woman told police that it was possible that the incidents could have happened, "but she was extremely intoxicated and did not recall," the charges said.
