PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla – Every week, new tools for researching your ancestors arrive at Mormon Family History Centers.
The centers, created by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, have been flooded with new genealogical databases in recent months, thanks to a volunteer indexing project that began in 2006. More than 150,000 volunteers are copying census, birth, death and church records from all over the world to be placed online at FamilySearch.org, the Mormons' popular genealogy research website.
