Utah's newest radio station — Freedom 570 will arrive Sept. 17.

Currently, AM-570 is a simulcast of KNRS (news, talk, FM-105.7), but that duplication will cease when the new station premieres.

Freedom 570 will be dedicated to providing news and opinions that matter to Utah. It will be an outlet for Utahns to discuss the day's issues from a conservative point of view, hear the latest money and economic news and get advice on family finances.

Neal Boortz, Todd Schnitt, Jason Lewis and Bill Handel will be some of the station's syndicated personalities.

In the morning, Freedom 570 will focus on the economy with "The Wall Street Journal This Morning."

(The popular "Clark Howard Show" will eventually be on the new station, too, but not until Nov. 4.)

Freedom 570 will be heard on FM-99.1 in Utah County and southern Salt Lake County and on 99.5 HD2.

Clear Channel, which owns AM-570, will be applying with the FCC for new call letters in early September.
