FRISCO, Texas — This state continues to be an enigma for Real Salt Lake.

The club surrendered two goals in the opening 10 minutes Saturday night at Pizza Hut Park and never recovered in falling to FC Dallas 3-0.

Jeff Cunningham scored the opening goal in the fifth minute and David Ferreira doubled Dallas' lead five minutes later. Last weekend RSL gave up two goals in the opening five minutes at Houston and ultimately lost 3-2.

Real Salt Lake's all-time record in Dallas now stands at 0-7-0 and its all-time record in Texas is 0-12-1.

With three matches remaining in the season RSL remains on 34 points with a 9-11-7 record. It will likely need to win its final three matches to have any hope of securing an MLS playoff berth.

Those last three matches are at home against New York, at Toronto and then at home against Colorado.

Former RSL striker Jeff Cunningham scored his second goal of the match in the 87th minute. It was his 15th goal of the season and moved him into a tie with Colorado's Conor Casey for the league lead.
