Lime Slush Punch

Makes 18 half-cup servings

Ingredients:

2 cups sugar

8 cups water

1 12oz. can frozen limeade

5 fresh limes, juiced (about 1/2 cup)

2 12oz. cans lemon-lime soda

Combine sugar and water in a large saucepan and heat until sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in frozen limeade and lime juice. Pour mixture into a shallow pan and freeze. (This slush can be kept in the freezer up to three months.) Remove mixture from freezer an hour before serving and break up with a fork until slushy. Pour into punch bowl and add lemon-lime soda.
