OGDEN — Five men were arrested early Nov. 29 in connection with an armed robbery incident at a Dee's Family Restaurant in Ogden.
It was abount 1:40 a.m. when police received a call reporting that five masked gunmen had entered the Dee's at 3360 Washington Blvd. and had ordered all employees and patrons into a back room, Ogden Police Lt. Danielle Croyle said. She said one round was fired in the restaurant.
The men then ordered a manager to open a safe in the back of the restaurant.
"The group of guys ended up taking off with an undisclosed amount of money," she said.
Croyle said no one at the restaurant was injured. The men fled the scene, but police investigators were able to develop leads that led them to a location in Ogden where they believed the men would be.
"They obtained a search warrant and were able to take five men into custody," Croyle said.
The arrests were made around 5:30 a.m. She said the five men are related — three of them are brothers — and they are being held for investigation of aggravated robbery. Some of the men are also being investigated for drug-related charges.
