As a high school student, sleep is a very important part of my life. Without it, I could hardly function. And since I'm a senior, I have a lot on my plate. Whether it's homework, extra-curricular activities, applying for colleges, or studying for the ACT, it's a lot to handle for only being 17. So with all those different things I have to do, I hardly have any time to sleep. On average, I go to bed at 12 or 1 every night. Then I wake up and go to school again. How am I supposed to function with only five hours of sleep a day?

I think they should make school start later. That would help me a ton. I would be able to get more sleep so I could think more clearly and perform better in my activities.

Studies say that after newborns, teenagers need the most sleep. So why not help us out?
