Cynthia Loertscher Peterson McCorkindale 1972 ~ 2010
Cynthia was born January 28, 1972 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Paul Rush and Violet Olpin Loertscher, the ninth of 11 children. Passed away in her sleep December 18, 2010. Married James Darby "Dee" Peterson, later divorced. Married JR Robert "Corky" McCorkindale. Active in the LDS Church; participated in activities of all kinds. A true servant to all she knew, she didn't need to seek out any who stood in need of help; those situations were attracted to her and she was talented at filling those needs over her lifetime. Others felt at ease with her and she with them. Preceded in death by niece, Ruth E. Loertscher. Survived by husband, Corky McCorkindale; her five sons James, Joseph, Joshua, Jeffery, and Jonathan Peterson; parents Paul and Violet Loertscher; siblings Terri (Bob) Marsh, Patricia (Gary) Ransom, Pauline (Eli) Preston, Dorothy (Layne) Ashton, Katrina (Steven) Mills, Dee (Penny) Loertscher, Pamela (Troy) Muir, Craig (Susan) Loertscher, Thad (Heather) Loertscher, and Chreslie (Duane) Thorup; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles. She will be greatly missed by all. Viewing to be held Monday, December 27, 2010 from 6-8 p.m., at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 E 10600 S, Sandy, Utah. Funeral Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at 11 a.m., with a viewing one hour prior, in the LDS Ward Building at 12300 S 600 E, Draper, Utah. Interment in the Heber City Cemetery, Heber, Utah. In lieu of flowers, her family respectfully requests that donations be made to a trust fund for her boys in the name of Cynthia McCorkindale at Cyprus Credit Union.
