PROVO (AP) — The Utah Department of Transportation has picked a new name for one of Utah County's east-west corridors — Timpanogos Highway.

UDOT says state Route 92 from Lehi to Highland will be known as Timpanogos Highway after the roadway is rebuilt and widened.

The highway will keep its number route and have five regular lanes for each direction plus two commuter lanes.

Two construction firms — Flatiron and Harper — are expected to finish rebuilding State Route 92 by next fall
