Moms sometimes have to turn down the baby monitor to take important phone calls. Other times, moms may not hear the baby monitor because the radio or television is playing.
A baby monitor with flashing lights is helpful to moms who need to lower the monitor volume or simply can't hear because of competing sounds.
The Fisher-Price Sounds 'n Lights Monitor with Dual Receivers is a monitor that flashes red light when baby makes noise. The five red lights arc above the speaker. One flashing light and baby is likely cooing or gurgling, five flashing lights and baby is crying.
The sound activated lights are on each side of the receiver. Two receivers are included and sound is meant to be clear for up to 400 feet. The receivers can operate on AAA batteries or an AC energy power saving cord that will not draw energy when the monitor is off.
There are two channels to minimize interference. Additional features include a belt clip for hands free use and a nightlight on the transmitter.
