March 11, 2009, proved to be a memorable day in my life. I went to the home of one of the girls in the Young Women class of Beehives; she was going to teach the newest Beehives about horses. I was their adviser.
She walked down to the round pen with two horses, and the rest of us followed behind. She tied up one to the outside of the round pen while she worked the other inside the pen. Then she brought that horse out and asked me to hold her reins, which I did willingly since we, too, had horses. She took the other horse in and began working him. Unfortunately, that action spooked the horse I was holding, and she turned into me, knocked me to the ground, kicked me in the head and trampled my face-down body before running away.
