Esther Vilate Jarman Wilson, 92 year-old Burley Idaho resident, died Friday, April 16, 2010, at her daughter's home in Mesa, Arizona.She was born March 31, 1918, in Lyman, Wyoming, the daughter of Franklin L. and Nanna Wall Jarman. Esther's family moved to the Uintah Basin, where she attended school in Randlett, Provo and Salt Lake City, Utah. She married Ira Edmond Wilson on March 31, 1938 in the Manti Temple. They lived in the Uintah Basin, Utah and Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, prior to moving to Burley in 1960. She worked several years at Ore-Ida Foods and was a full-time mother/homemaker. She was mother of several foster children and also hosted two young men from the Church's Indian Placement program as well as an exchange student from Mexico City. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she served in many capacities, including 11 year-old Scout leader, Primary President, Relief Society Counselor, Young Women Counselor and Sunday School teacher. Ira and Esther were proselyting missionaries in Roanoke, VA. and served as temple workers in the Boise Idaho Temple.

Survivors include seven children: Dennis (Patricia) Wilson of Yucaipa, CA; Sharon Beeson of Mesa, AZ; Wesley (Carol) Wilson of Orem, UT; Wade (Sandra) Wilson of California City, CA; Merlin (Ramona) Wilson of South Jordon, UT; Blair (Keri) Wilson of Burley, ID; and Spencer (Janine) Wilson of Saugus, CA; two brothers: Grant Jarman and Clyde Jarman; 37 grandchildren, 75 great-grand-children and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother, two sisters, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She will always be remembered as an example of a loving, giving, and caring individual to all that knew her. She will be fondly remembered by her family members.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2010 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Burley Stake Center, 2050 Normal Ave. with Bishop Guy Redder officiating. Interment will be at the Gem Memorial Gardens in Burley. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Hansen Payne Mortuary, 321 E. Main St. in Burley and from 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the funeral Saturday at the church.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers please make a contribution to the L.D.S. Perpetual Education Fund.
