Lark Erickson, 89, Loving husband, father, grandfather, great grand-father and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on May 28, 2010, from causes incident to age.

He was born on January 31, 1921, in Beaver Utah, to Larkin Andrew Erickson and Ethel Roberts Erickson. He married Norma Gordon on August 14, 1946. Marriage solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on February 18, 1948.

Lark had a love of many things, a carpenter by trade; he worked for the Salt Lake School District and at the LDS Church Office Building. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He went on many camping trips with friends and family. He spent many hours working and building in his shop. He always planted a very large garden and shared his passion with many.

Lark loved life, liked to help people and everybody was his friend. He valued his relationships with people. He was an active member of the LDS church.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; son, Joe (Karen) Erickson; daughter, Darlene (Robert) Jenkins; daughter, Janet (Gordon) Brady; son, Lark (Connie) Erickson; 19 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Loe Gordon and Beatrice Spendlove; brothers, Elvin, Leonard, Pershing, and Joe.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at the Corner Canyon Stake Center- 1300 East 13400 South, Draper, Utah, where a viewing will be held prior to funeral services from 9:00am-10:45 a.m.

The family wishes to express gratitude to the many friends and family for their love and support, especially those from Bristol Hospice - Shirley and Natalie for their loving care.
