PLAYA VISTA, Calif.,— Small forward Andrei Kirilenko will not play in Game 2 of the Jazz's second-round playoff series against the Los Angeles Lakers tonight.

Kirilenko will be missing his eighth straight postseason game and his 23rd among the Jazz's last 25 overall due to a left calf that's been strained multiple times in three different areas of the muscle.

On Monday Kirilenko had answered, "Maybe" if he thought he would be able to play in Game 2.

A Jazz spokesman said this morning that Kirilenko is "possible" for Game 3 of the series, which comes Saturday night at EnergySolutions Arena in Utah.

C.J. Miles again will start in Kirilenko's place, as he has since the one-time All-Star from Russia initially injured the calf in late February.
