LaRane Carlisle Taylor, 75, passed away Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at her home in Borrego Springs, CA. LaRane was born on February 15, 1935 in Rexburg, Idaho to Don and Adella Smith. Her family moved to Salt Lake City in 1941. She was ninth of 10 children. Surviving siblings are Glen (Mary) Smith of Kamas, UT, Calvin B (Rachel) Smith of Sandy, UT and Ila Gene (Jack) Hoff of Eagle Mountain, UT.
She married Ray F. Withers and had two children, Don and Sharri. Later divorced. Married Ray Goudreau and they had a daughter, Susan. LaRane became a widow at the young age of 45.
In April of 1983 she married her high school sweetheart, Ray O. Carlisle. Widowed again at the age of 52.
She was a devoted mother and grandmother. In 1998 married William Taylor of Carson City, NV. In 2005 she was diagnosed with Alzheimers.
LaRane a licensed Real Estate Professional and escrow officer was a creative, accomplished seamstress who also loved to draw, paint and do wood carvings. She was a devoted mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her three children, Don Withers (Janie) of Craig Colorado, Sharri Dowdell (Patrick) of Borrego Springs, California and Susan Boudreaux of Carson City, Nevada; step children, Rayola Pfnister, Clearfield, UT; Shauna Heddlesten, Salt Lake City; and Sam Carlisle of San Clemente, CA; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at Larkin Sunset Gardens on Saturday, June 12, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. Friends and family may visit one hour prior to the services at the mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, UT.
