Dorothy passed away peacefully on June 11, 2010 after a long life of service to her family, friends, neighbors and community. Dorothy was born on June 29, 1926 to Platte Lowrey Clark and Violet Evans Clark in Hyrum, Utah.
Dorothy is preceeded in death by her parents, her sister Irene Robins. Dorothy is survived by her eternal companion and love of her life, Oral Junior Preece and their six children; Christine Martin (Donald Floyd Martin), Roderick Scott Preece, Tamara Manning (Timothy John Manning), John Clark Preece, Curtis Dan Preece (Shelley), Annette Judd (Blake Edman Judd) and her siblings Pat Horrocks (Bill), Marco Houseal (Eddie) and Platte Evans Clark (Claudia).
Oral and Dorothy have 22 Grandchildren and 48 Great-grand-children. They served four missions, including Billings Montana (1987-1988) and The Liberty Jail Visitors Center in Independence Missouri (1994-1995).
Dorothy will be remembered in her flower garden, roses being her
personal favorite. Above all other things, she loved her family and
extended family.
Viewing will be at 11:30a.m. -12:45p.m. on Saturday, June 19, 2010 with the Funeral at 1:00 p.m., Val Verda Ninth Ward Chapel, 3317 South 800 West, Bountiful, Utah 84010. Interment will be at the Bountiful City Cemetery, 2224 South 200 West in Bountiful following the funeral.
