SALT LAKE CITY — Police were looking for a hit-and-run driver Monday who collided with a motorcyle.
About 7:30 a.m., a driver in a car failed to yield to a motorcyclist near 1100 West and 400 South. After the collision, the driver drove away. A witness followed him to an area near 140 South and 900 West where the man got out of his car and walked away.
"We've got the vehicle and an idea who the suspect is," said Salt Lake police detective Pat Wilkinson.
The man riding the motorcycle was wearing a helmet and all the proper riding gear. He suffered road rash on his arm but otherwise was expected to be OK, Wilkinson said.
Anyone with information on the driver can call police at 801-799-3000.
