A wonderful wife, mother, Grammy, sister, daughter and friend to all has moved on to a more glorious existence. She is free from the cancer that she fought valiantly for the last year and a half.She was born March 26, 1952 in Louisville, Kentucky to William F. and Martha Eberenz Wagner. She moved to Brigham City, Utah at age eight, graduating from Box Elder High School and attending one year at Weber State College.

She converted to the LDS Church at age 19, "the best decision in her life," and was a faithful member serving in many callings and presidencies in which she always gave her full energy. Many life-long friends came from her associations in these callings.

She married her eternal companion, Marvin Dean Ash, December 17, 1971 and was sealed in the Logan, Temple January 5, 1973.

Denise was employed at Valley Mental Health for nineteen and a half years in the Medical Records Department and other supporting positions. She has many friends from her work at Valley.

Denise loved reading, especially the scriptures which she did daily. She was an excellent painter and left behind many beautiful watercolors. Denise was always a hard worker and loved working in her home and yard and was constantly improving them. She loved the beauties of God's creations and loved being outdoors.

She is preceded in death by her father, William F. Wagner. She is survived by: mother, Martha Wagner; two brothers and three sisters; husband, Marvin; children, Andrea Ash (Don Claus), Nathaniel (Crystal) Ash, Matthew (Melissa) Ash, Chelsea (Jon) Watson; foster children, Melanie, Joe and Andrea; and the jewel of her eye, seven grandchildren whom she loved with all her heart.

A viewing will be held at Larkin Mortuary, 1950 E. 10600 S., Sandy, UT, Sunday, July 18 from 6:00 -8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Monday, July 19 at 12:00 noon at the Greenfield Chapel, 6600 S. Greenfield Way (1800 E.), Cottonwood Heights, UT. The funeral will be preceded by a viewing from 10:45 to 11:45 am. Interment at Larkin Sunset Gardens. Online condolences at www.larkincares.com

Thanks to such fantastic friends and neighbors for their love and support. Denise would always perk up for the many visitors.
