HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — With that bitter taste of defeat finally out of their collective mouths, the Utah Blaze close out the 2010 season with a game at Alabama and have but one objective when they face the Vipers tonight — end the year with another win.
"We are proud of the team for fighting through all four quarters," said Blaze coach Ron James after last week's victory. "We were able to out-execute our opponent, and we look forward to performing in the same fashion next versus Alabama."
The Blaze, just 2-13 after the 51-41 win at Dallas last week, have juggled their starting lineup a bit, trying to create more energy. Mark Thorson will make his second consecutive start at quarterback, with Brett Elliott playing in a relief role.
A week ago, Thorson completed 22-of-38 passes for 219 yards and six touchdowns in the road win over Dallas.
The Blaze will also be looking to avenge a 63-54 loss to the Vipers in a Week 2 home defeat.
